Nothing Like a Deadline to Get Things Moving!

I’ve been working on this blog for the past two weeks. At some point in the near future, it will become the home page for Daily Marketing Ace. We are calling it DMA2.0 on the team. It’s an exciting development in the evolution of DMA.

So what’s the deadline all about?

My friend Dr.Mani is a heart surgeon who uses innovative online marketing to help kids born with heart defects.

On Saturday Sep.15th, in a very special event called the Heart Kids Blogathon, he is blogging non-stop for 24 hours to raise funds for the ‘heart kids’.

Every $3,000 raised means an additional operation can be funded - so please try and help, in any way you can.

Also, don’t forget to drop by and encourage him on the big day! Make sure you visit his blog on September 15th - the URL is

Dr. Mani invited me to join him for the BlogAThon, so that is what I’ll be doing Saturday morning.

But that means the blog has to be ready!

Off we go. Who needs sleep, right?

    Hey Patrick,

Thanks for stopping by! You are the first ‘official’ commenter!

Now I just need to figure out why you didn’t show up on the MyBlogLog widget.

    Really? I can’t see it. Maybe it’s time for a re-boot?

Maybe I have an “A-list” filter on my machine?

    Maybe I’m “Pretty Proof?”

Thanks for letting me know it’s at least working for you.

    Hi Doug,

Not wanting you to feel lonely, I stopped by to say Hi. The new blog really looks great, You made a great choice in platforms. Semiologic is probably the best.

    Hey John,

Thanks for keeping me company! I agree Semilogic rocks. It’s the first time I’ve used it and I can see why Internet marketers love it.

WP and Joomla were my two options for a CMS for “DMA 2.0″ and I’m glad I picked WP. I use Joomla for other applications, but in this case WP is perfect.

Glad you like the look of the site. It’ll evolve, but this is a good start!

    Hi Case,

Thanks. And I’ll be sure to drop by yours. It’ll be fun to see how the conversation unfolds.

Hey, we should develop a ‘unifying tag’ of sorts for our blog posts and try to get the other bloggers to do the same.

How about ‘heart kids blogathon’? We could each tag our favorite social bookmarking site when we post.
