You can take advantage of these two principles to profit from Twitter.  You do NOT need to share your most intimate and private details with the world. You can set limits. But within those limits, get up close and personal with your audience. Engage your followers. Get to know them on a one- on-one level.

    Thanks for this tip Dr. Mani. I think this is really the true value of Twitter. It makes it easy to be ‘personal’ with a very large group. For me, being on Twitter makes it a lot easier to really connect with my audience.

    I could still do a lot better — I don’t think any marketer can be too close to their market — but without Twitter, I would definitely not be as connected as I am.
