Last Post for the Blogathon

I’ll continue to promote Dr. Mani’s good works, but this is the last ‘official’ post for my part of the blogathon.

It’s been a great experience and I hope it helped a little bit toward Dr. Mani’s goal of raising $50, 000 for the kids.

Here’s what I learned from this experience:

* When you are united around a topic or a cause, it’s easy to make new friends and contacts

* Twitter is an awesome real-time tool for Internet marketers

* If you want to get something done fast (like a new blog for instance) set a deadline and commit to it publicly.

* Give first is a great state of mind.

* Rapid blog posting + joining the conversation at other blogs + social bookmarking + links from an established site or two can get you indexed in Google very fast (this blog is already showing up)

There are many, many more lessons. Thank you, Dr. Mani for putting this great event together.
