To get a quick burst of traffic to your blog, send a short email to your list. This is the best kind of traffic - targeted, trusting, and ready to take action. Building trust and marketing to subscribers takes time and experience to master. But at the very least, sending them a short note to call them back to your blog where you post content valuable to them is a good use of your mailing list.

I think what many have lost (or forgotten) is that not every email sent to your subscriber base should be a pitch.
It is incredibly rare for me to find an email, from a marketer, that isn’t at least a clever hook for an affiliate link.
Put some great content on your page or blog, do NOT include even a soft sell or affiliate link in there, invite your subscribers to it… and see how your rapport shoots through the roof seeing as you just took a step that they pretty much NEVER see from an online marketer.
(This also means that the next time when you have a high value offer, your subscribers will be much more likely to look at it and act upon it.)
