Make 404 Pages Serve Double Duty

Are you losing potential customers because of a standard 404 page? Probably. Customize your 404 page to make it serve double duty. Make it notify and redirect. All you need to do is add a “You might be interested in…” phrase to the standard text. Then include a newsletter sign-up box, recent articles, or simply a link to the home page. This will help keep customers on your site longer.
