Top 10 Internet Marketing Metrics Rev. A

I’m spending a lot of time and energy on the topic of Internet marketing metrics lately as part of a software development project that I have started (more on that later). As a result of this focus, I’ve been working toward developing a list of the top 10 most important marketing metrics.I’ve entitled the list “RevA” because I fully expect to change it and refine it as I go along and as I get feedback from my readers. And as my metrics tool project progresses.

Here is the list as it stands right now. These are not listed in order of priority — yet. Each metric would be calculated based on a variable period of time (ie weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.).

  1. Profit Per Visitor
  2. Average Daily Profit
  3. Average Daily Subscribers
  4. Cost Per Subscriber
  5. Average Daily PE Cost
  6. Profit Per Transaction
  7. Total Subscribers
  8. Profit Per Subscriber
  9. Profit Per Customer
  10. Repeat Buyers

So, what do you think? Am I missing anything? Do these metrics make sense to you? Are you tracking these metrics now?

I feel that, if I know these 10 metrics about my online marketing systems, then I will be able to make all of the strategic and optimization decisions I need to make. I can also say that I don’t effectively track all of these metrics right now, but I’m working to build a system that does so efficiently and automatically. That’s what my software project is all about.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll dissect each key metric and discuss how to track and calculate them.

    Hey,

It’s good to hear that you are doing multitasking in your life. But my one advise is, take more care while doing the job especially when you are doing multitasking.

Multitasking makes the man’s work efficiency low and increases stress. But i like your positive attitude towards the multitasking. Keeping going but with great care.
