Marketing Ace Case Study: Traffic Tactic Research

Since traffic is now on my radar big time, I’ve started to collect links to blog posts, websites, and other resources that might help me select good candidates for my traffic building project.

I’ll post them here to this thread and maybe even provide links to my Delicious bookmarks, stumbles, and clipmarks pages.

For now, I’ll just list links to helpful resources that I’ve found. If you know of a resource that I should look at for traffic tactic ideas, please comment below.

From Andy Beard:

From Internet Strategy Blog:

InternetBusiness-Tips.com Suggests Writing a “Link Bait” Article

From Seth Godin:
56 Ways to Get Traffic to Your Blog

Michelle MacPhearson:
has written a nice free guide on using social media for traffic, can’t wait to dig in to this one! Also there are lots of great traffic strategies on her blog including a great post on how to use YouTube to drive traffic.

ListBandit Might Be an Option:
Since my primary objective in building blog traffic is to achieve the goal of building the Daily Marketing Ace subscriber base, I should at least consider some of the list building tools out there. Thanks to Jason DeVilvis for bringing this to the forefront of my attention.

Caroline Middlebrook has done an excellent job of building traffic to her blog. One of her strategies was discussed today in this blog post about building traffic through blog comments (in a strategic way).Very appealing, but perhaps a bit too much work to be a truly scalable ongoing solution.

Tay from SuperBloggingTips.com wrote a popular ‘pillar post’ that lists ‘75 Ways to Increase Your Site’s Traffic‘  Very concise and lots of good strategies here.  I even excerpted one of these for a Daily Marketing Ace Tip.
